My Review:- 2.5/5

Genre : Romance

Theatre watched : Pratap 70MM

Pre release Expectations :
Madhura Sreedhar is a potential director and his previous ventures(Sneha Geetham,It's my love story) ran successfully. So there are few expectations from Back bench student movie.Ever since Simbhu lended his voice for a song remix, expectations reached to a new level...!!!

Did it reach the expectations ???

My Review :-
Madhura Sreedhar faltered in standing up to its main theme and finally messed it up to make a routine triangular love story...Pretty routine stuff on regular story line...!!!

Highlights:-
Mahat Raghavendra did a decent job on his debut.
Music by Sunil Kashyap is Ok.

Disappointments:-
Boring and routine story.
Madhura Sreedhar started of well but as the film progresses he made it look usual and boring.
Pia Bajpai and Archana kavi doesn't make any impact.
Lack of comedy sequences.
Brahmanandam is wasted in the movie.
Could have worked more on post production. No proper lip sync for Archana's character.
Dragged second half.

Engaging moments:-
"Jagada jagada" song is shot well.

A Boy Can Dance (ABCD) - Movie Review by cineemaa world

Cast: Prabhu Deva, Kay Kay Menon
Director: Remo D'Souza
Producer: Siddharth Roy Kapur, Ronnie Screwvala
Verdict :Watch ABCD - Any Body Can Dance if you enjoy dance.
Rating:3/5
Review:
ABCD - Any Body Can Dance, directed by Remo D'Souza is one of the biggest surprises this weekend. While some of us expected Special Chabbis to be a good film, not many have high expectation from this Prabhu Deva, Kay Kay Menon, Ganesh Acharya and Lauren Gottlieb starrer film. However, Remo D'Souza proved all of them wrong with his 'hatke' plot and awesome dance movements in ABCD.
The film also boasts to be the first dance film of India in 3D. Set against the backdrop of dance competition, ABCD - Any Body Can Dance leaves you with a feeling of achievement and gives you a feel-good factor. It's a film that every Indian (considering how passionate we are for dance and music) can relate to and above all, Prabhu Deva and Ganesh Acharya's dance is a treat to watch. The various dance style that Remo uses leaves you spellbound. The plot as such is weak and that is where ABCD falters. The narrative by Tushar Hiranandani seems predictable. The second hour seems quite a drag and a bit more firm editing would have done the film some good. The 3D effect is not so great either. The last dance finale will make you sit on the edge of the seat (the same feeling that you get while watching a one-day cricket match between India and Pakistan!).
Story :Vishnu (Prabhu Deva) is extremely passionate about dance. He along with his partner (Kay Kay Menon) set up a dance academy. However, Kay Kay turns out to be quite a manipulator, and Vishnu is extremely dejected. He decides to leave Mumbai, the city of dreams and go to his hometown. That's when he spots a group of talented dancers who are preparing for a dance competition. He decides to take them under his wing and train them to be outstanding dancers. Performances Kay Kay Menon, as we all know, is a fabulous actor, and he does complete justice to his 'villianous' role. Prabhu Deva is extremely good in doing what he knows the best....and that is dancing! He is not too good as an actor, and that he has proved once again (He previously starred in Sapney with Kajol) with ABCD. Punit Pathak has got the spunk in him and he has the ability to be one among the leading hunks in Bollywood. Lauren Gottlieb is talented, good looking and an amazing dancer - a firang with a desi touch! All other actors have given a decent performance.
Verdict :Watch ABCD - Any Body Can Dance if you enjoy dance.

ABCD Movie Review

Rating : 3.75/5
(scroll down for conclusion)

Movie: Vishnwaroopam
Lead: Kamal ,Pooja Kumar
Direction:Kamal
Production:Kamal
Languages: Telugu,Tamil

STORY:
Viswanath(Kamal) is dance instructor in NewYork city and he is married to Nirupama(Pooja Kumar), she is nuclear oncologist by proffession. Their marriage doesn't run fruitfull, so she hires a private detective to spy on Kamal, to find out any flaws about him which might help her to get divorse. This private detective finds out that Kamal is muslim, which shocks Nirupama. Is Kamal muslim or hindu? what happens to the marriage of Kamal there after?... See on the Silver Screen
Star Performances
Kamal has done multishade character in this flick with ease and simplicity. Different getups used on him for characters looked apt . His classical dance steps with natural expressions and action sequence performed by him are gud.   Rahul Bose performance is excellent as Afghan muslim leader "Omar". He is definitely plus to the movie, his settled expressions at key scenes, leaves his mark on audience mind. Both Pooja Kumar and Andreia has nothing much space given in film, they are used to fill female casting. Dubbing given for pooja sounds very irritating on screen. Nassar and Shekhar Kapur roles are so short and they are not utilised to fullest.

Direction, Music & Technical Aspects :
Kamal's plan to run the film completely on his shoulders handling  direction, story, screenplay has back fired in executing the output. Sanu Varghese cinematography is fantastic and the only good thing in technical aspect. Big kudos to him for picturizing locations of Afghanistan beautifully and even the action scenes raises bar of film to Hollywood standards. Shankar Ehsaan Loy BGS is unimpressive and turns as big let-down at crucial scenes. There are two songs which also sounded average on screen. Editing by Mahesh Narayanan could be trimmed to little extent, especially in second-half.

Analysis:
Kamal Hassan has shown his Viswaroopam in acting with multi-shade character in this flick. Kamal bought smiles with feminine mannerisms as a Bharatnatyam guru, showed serious side as Wasim Ahmad Kashmiri who train Al-Qaeda men in Afghanistan. A small glimpse of Laden, American soldier attacks on Afghanistan and livelihood of Afghans are presented naturally. First half of the film looks confusing with scenes thrown without any connections from one to another. Screenplay is not crispy and never gives you a feel of spy thriller at any minute. Main characters introductions are given very simply in the movie. Few impressive things in the first half are the comic acts which Vishwanth character does, film introduction scene with pigeons and showing beautiful New York city.  Second half is where clarity about what actually Kamal's character is revealed to audience. The flashback scenes connecting with the present to reveal Kamal as Raw Agent of India is nice. Screenplay in the second half is racy compared to first half. The whole radio active bomb theme, new techniques and technology used by terrorist has been showcased, but not in a convincing way. Arabic and English is spoken in major portion of the film which kills the feel of normal people to get connected with key scenes. With no entertainment , couple of songs and including the theme of global terrorism do not sink with B, C, centre audiences.  One major thing should be appreciated about this flick, it has broken the theme of taking support of songs, to move story forward. Rich production values can be sensed at every frame in the film and art director 'Nancy Terryn' work of creating Afghanistan in Chennai is amazing.
Conclusion : Good Movie. Can Watch Once.

Suspense will be on as movie will go for a break and when the judge was about to give death sentence for the soft guy, movie lovers will be in for a shock with the entry of Mass guy (Cherry). Second half will be treated with MS Narayana mark comedy.
Why Mass Guy committed these murders and what will be the impact on Soft Guy along with the relation between both of them should be enjoyed on silver screen.
Stars Performance s in Naayak Movie :
Ram Charan Outplayed and showed his class and elegance in  acting. The ease in comedy scenes remembered Prince Mahesh. Ram Charan Slowly following his father Chiru by adding Comedy part to his Characterization. Dances are truely amazing surely say he is best after Jr NTR and Allu Arjun.
Kajal Agarwal As usual Stunning and Skinny. Dominated Screen with Amala Paul.
Amala Paul was beautiful and was given much better role than her previous movie Bezawada. The is looks beautiful and sexy in songs. She will need to improve in some ares of acting.
Brahmanandam, Jilebi Character is Hilarious and showed ease and brahmis mark comedy.
Venumadhav as played his part as power star fans president in entertaining the audians.
Technicalities in Naayak Movie:
VV Vinayak showed his mark in dialogues specially in court scenes and comedy punches. Akula siva Story and Screenplay is ok story gives no fresh feel. just a regular revenge kind of flick. Thaman SS has done his part in good Music and some good BGM at various place of the movie.
Positives in Naayak Movie:
  • Brahmanandam Venumadav and Posani Comedy adds life to movie
  • Fights and Ram Charan Steps
  • Songs picturisation and locations are pleasent
  • Good Dialogues gives Kick to fans
Negative Points in Naayak Movie:
  • Dull story line
  • Some Scenes Resembles Gabbar Singh and trying to get audience response
  • Some of the locations are not good
Final Say about Naayak Movie : Naayak is undoubtedly a feast for Mega Fans. but tt may be an regular revenge drama for noraml audience which seems to be an AVG to Above AVG Flick .

With tears rolling down their eyes, a couple claps S P Balasubramanyam’s hands outside Screen 1 where he is standing. They tell him that it is in a long time they actually shed tears. Some more people, unable to control their emotions, surround Tanikella Bharani and tell him how much they have been moved by the movie. That says much about the movie. Let’s move on...
