My Review:- 1.5/5
Genre : Comedy
Theatre watched : Amba 70MM
Pre release Expectations :
Vennela Kishore is never comfortable as a director and his first movie "Vennela one and half" proved it...But Jaffa looked promising from the first trailer itself and moreover Brahmi is in it...!!!
Did it reach the expectations ???
My Review :-
Vennela Kishore failed to strike the right chord in his direction for the second attempt also...Jaffa has nothing in it neither the meaningful comedy nor the story...!!!
Highlights:-
Brahmanandam is good and fitted into the role.
Roles of Taagubothu Ramesh and Venu are decent.
Disappointments:-
Vennela kishore faltered in the story itself and lacked clarity. He just wrote few comedy sequences and tried to mix it up and make a story.
Worst screenplay.
Ali's characterization is not good.
Second half is horrible and heavily dragged.
Comedy is in parts but it isn't that effective.
Cinematography is very flimsy.
Many comedians are used in the movie but none are able to make an impact.
Cheap production values.
Bad editing.
Engaging moments:-
Taagubothu Ramesh introduction scene is hilarious.(Not that great but felt like an oasis in a desert)
