Manchu Vishnu’s Doosukeltha movie has earned good remarks from the ace directors Dasari Narayana rao, Srinu Vaitla, Srivas, B.Gopal and Nageswara Reddy, who watched the movie in a special screening show held exclusively for them. According to Vaitla, the first half is terrific and the second of is very much gripping than the first half. He is quite impressed with the thrilling stunt scene in the climax and the dialogues between lead pair. Vishnu’s performance and dances are marvelous, opines Vaitla. All the directors have given good remarks for the right mix of action, comedy, romance in the film. They are very much surprised to see the way the story is presented with surprising twists and the marvelous comedy track played by ace comedian Brahmanandam. Manchu Lakshmi, who played cameo in the movie, also earned appreciations for her marvelous performance.
Doosukeltha is going to delight the audiences in the festive session and definitely going to be a milestone in Vishnu’s career. This film is releasing on 17th of October worldwide.This film is directed by Veeru Potla and produced by Mohan babu under 24 Frames Factory banners. Lavanya Tripati is pairing with Vishnu in this movie.
What is Doosukletha Story:
Movie opens with some goons chasing Venkateswara Rao / Chinna (Vishnu), an investigative journalist and Ravi Teja’s voice over introducing him. The story dates back to some 13 years to Pitchapuram village. Kota Srinivasa Rao, a Jamindar there refuses to accept his brother’s son, Sarveswara Rao (Rao Ramesh) along with his wife and daughter Alekhya / Chinni who visits them after 10 years. Alekhya with the help of her school mate, Chinna (Manchu Vishnu), a spoilt brat, Chinna challenges Picheswara Rao (Zamindar’s grandson, Vennela Kishore) and makes a deal that the loser should leave the town for 13 years. Picheswara Rao loses and finally leaves the village. Chinna’s father, a farmer senses the danger from the Jamindar leaves the town. What happens next forms the actual story.
How did they Perform?
Manchu Vishnu delivered a much improved performance.But he need to go a long way in dialogue delivery. His dances and fights will add value to the movie. Andala Rakshasi fame Lavanya gets a role with substance and she pulled it off very well. She looked stunning in traditional attire.
There is a galaxy of comedians in the movie. Brahma Nandam, Bharath, Raghu babu, Vennela Kishore and Hema had made a literal laughing riot in the movie. Ali do not have much screen space but managed some laughs. Kota Srinivas Rao, Pankaj Tripati are decent in their roles. Rao Ramesh is stunning and will undoubtedly be a perfect replacement to Prakash Raj in Telugu. Rest of them are okay
Technical Performances:
As the case of his previous films, Veeru Potla came up with a routine plot but a racy screenplay. His forte comedy was super hit once again especially the tracks involving Brahmi, Hema and Bharat. He took enough care of Vishnu’s dances and fights which will help the film in masses.
Mani Sharma’s music is awesome and three songs are well shot. Back Ground Score is excellent. Dialogues by Gopi Mohan and Veeru Potla are too good. Editing is decent and Camera work is good. Production values by 24 Frames Entertainment are good as well.
Final Say:
Doosukeltha is on the similar line of Vishnu’s earlier movie, Denikaina Ready but in this case, the director made sure that the screenplay is racy and entertainment quotient is doubled from Denikaina Ready. Finally Doosukeltha ended up as Paisa Vasool movie and one more hit to Vishnu. Enjoy it this weekend!

Zanjeer 2013 Movie Review:
It’s a confronting assignment to restructure the old drama with the same zeal, which pressed the audience to throw out their money for a seat in cinemas. In the past there have been flicks like Don and Agneepath, which stood up to the expectations while Aag and Himmatwala fell upon its face badly. Apporva Lakhria takes the 1973 ‘Zanjeer’ to create the same aura out of the flick that made the legendary actor Amitabh Bachchan ‘The
angry young man’.
What we anticipated from the director was sheer maintenance of the old world charm with the fresh troupe of Ram, Priyanka and Sanjay but director stumbled here. Mala here isn’t a street dancer nor is Teja an underworld don. With these couple of changes, director Apoorva Lakhria presents you the Zanjeer. We aren’t complaining any new addition to the story as it’s a known fact that it’s a remake, which begins with Vijay (Ram Charan) an
honest police officer who is deployed in Mumbai to unearth the oil mafia Teja (Prakash Mehra).
Here he is also handed over a case of an official who is burnt alive by oil mafia’s goons whose sole witness is Mala (Priyanka Chopra). In the meantime, he also faces Sher Khan (Sanjay Dutt) who deals in illegal cars. But the enmity turns into friendship after a hand-to-hand combat between the two. Sher Khan helps Vijay to detect Teja and to destroy him from the roots. Unfortunately the crime saga isn’t wrenching which moves you from
beneath.
Apoorva Lakhria pack all the masala ingredients into it but gives a half-baked recipe. You will find n number of loopholes in the flick but the anticipation to witness Sanjay Dutt as Sher Khan would rag you to stick in. The sole purpose to rope in Sanjay Dutt could be recognised by the fact that Agneepath was huge success where he played a devilish Kaancha. Vijay’s anguish attitude impresses you for a while but for long it doesn’t makes you serious.
However there are a couple of actions scenes, which are nicely choreographed and Ram Charan looks good in it. The South actor looks commanding. He has the aura to make one feel his strength. He gives a balanced performance. Priyanka Chopra hangs in her role of Mala. She sparkles the screen with her charm whenever she appears but doesn’t get too much to deliver. Sanjay Dutt as Sher Khan shouldn’t be compared with Late actor Pran. He invents his character and doesn’t go overboard. Prakash Raj makes his character larger than it is. Mahie Gill is good.

Release Date : 26 Jul 2013
Cast: Vishal, Aishwarya Arjun, Santhanam
Movie: Pattathu Yaanai (U)
Direction: Boopathy Pandian
Producer: S. Michael Rayappan
Banner: Global Infotainment Pvt Ltd
Music: Thaman
Genre: Comedy, Romance
After kicking off the year with Samar, Vishal is here for the second time in 2013 with Pattathu Yaanai. After the success of Malaikottai, director Boopathy Pandian and action star Vishal are joining hands on a “fun, action, romantic” movie, Pattathu Yaanai. Produced by Michael Rayyapan and directed by G.BoopathyPandian, Pattathu Yaanai has Aishwariya Arjun, Santhanam, Jegan, John Vijay etc alongside Vishal. Music is by Thaman Sai while the camera is handled by S.Vaithy.
There are two other box office drivers for the movie: Santhanam and Santhanam. Yes, for those who haven’t had enough of the comic takes of the most happening star in Tamil cinema now, Pattathu Yaanai has the actor playing a double role.
Also adding novelty value to the movie is the launch of Aishwarya, the daughter of ‘action king’ Arjun. Incidentally, Vishal had started his film career assisting Arjun in his heydays on his directorial ventures Vedham and Ezhumalai.
Story:
Pattathu Yaanai is the story of a common man who rises up to the challenge thrown against him.
The movie starts off with Santhanam being introduced as Gouravam, a caterer. Vishal and his friends arrive at the scene to aid Santhanam in his cookery chores. The premise moves to Trichy, where Vishal, Santhanam and his group plan to set up a hotel. Comic scenes entangled, we have the incidents with Aishwariya Arjun too stitched in. A series of events leads to Vishal locking horns with one of the dons in the city. A story is revealed at the interval block, from where the movie progresses on.
Into the second half, and we have more of the so-called story and less of comedy. Lots of new characters are introduced with John Vijay propelling himself as the comic villain. A cat and mouse game follows, and how Vishal pulls himself out of these troubles is what Pattathu Yaanai is all about.
Performance:
Vishal is fine in his acts, but one puts up the question as to when he will come back with a thumping film, just like his Thimiru. The lead actress Aishwariya Arjun is bland, just a walking doll. She needs to learn a lot, especially to dance and a ‘debut’ is all that can be said about her. The supporting artists are okay, but the villains are damp squibs, especially the guy who flexes his abs at the end.
If there is one man who might save this movie from a dump, it is Santhanam. Even though the much talked about dual role is nowhere to be seen, Santhanam keeps us smiling whenever he appears onscreen. Some of his jokes in the first half do crack pick you up.
Technical Analysis:
Nothing new in the musical department from Thaman, and the BGM which is done by Sabesh Murali is mediocre too. There are just three fight scenes in the movie, but they are well choreographed by Anal Arasu. Technically, Pattathu Yaanai is satisfying, but I would have loved to say something nice here.
We have seen tons of commercial entertainers in the past, and Pattathu Yaanai is yet another one in the list. Boopathy Pandian has a fine outing here, but it just isn’t enough with the current trend of movies passing on. Pattathu Yaanai fails to deliver something out of the bag, so watch it if you have nothing else to do over the weekend. An average film in all aspects.

Moive::Romance (2013)
Cast:: Prince, Dimple, Manasa
Music :: Sai Karthik
Lyrics :: Kakarla Shyam, Karunakar
Director :: Darling Swamy (Maruthi)
Producer :: G Srinivas Rao (Maruthi)
Verdict:: The film takes up a sexual theme, but its heart is just not in it.
Romance Review: Story
Krishna [Prince ] a happy go lucky guy is in search of a perfect girl (a virgin). So he decides to go after two girls and test them according to his PERFECT GIRL theory. In this process he flirts with his college mate Lalitha [ Manasa] , but she fails his test. Now, he shifts his focus on to Anuradha [Dimple Chopra] and instantly falls for her. Now, he tries to test Anu but things go awry and it leaves negative impact on Prince. Krishna undergoes a lot of struggle to impress Anuradha. Will Anuradha accept Krishna’s proposal ? Did he proves his innocence? How Krishna tackles Manasa has to be seen on silver screen.
Romance Review: StarPerformances
‘Neeku Naaku Dash Dash’ fame Prince looks confident as Krishna, but the weak script confines him from showing his talent. Dimple Chopra has proved that her choice was not wrong for the role offered to her. Manasa as Lalitha is totally wasted, director failed to capture her screen presence. Sai as Bluetooth Bobby is also good in his role. Hostel girls characters were elevated but not executed properly.
Romance Review: Direction, Music & Technical Aspects
Direction by Darling Swamy failed to narrate the film in a promising way. He could not get the scenes laced in a precise manner. The contrived screenplay hampers the narration. The backdrop for the story is very routine. The story has good commercial point and dalogues in movie are very ordinary. Music by Sai Karthik is in sync at two situations, with Romance title song on Prince. Photography is neat and the skillful camera work has captured the close ups and outdoor scenes well. Editing of the film would have been crisp. The graphics work and grading were not handled well. Production values of Good Cinema Group are good.
Romance Review: Analysis
Darling Swamy’s concept was not bad but the makers have failed miserably in giving it a good treatment and making it entertaining or watchable. Actually, there are many flaws in the film, related to unsuitable sequencing of the happenings. But, the timely boothu dialogues match well with the humour, at appropriate places. The actor’s struggle to impress Anu was not been shown in convincing manner. Prince neither struggles nor plays any smart move to become a star.
The first half of Romance, produced by SKN’s Good Cinema Group, is very slow and boring. The second half though had scope for some interesting scenes is all wasted due to weak script and direction. Coming to the screenplay, the film takes too much time for the set-up and comes to the point at the interval, thus making the first half tedious. I was not alone to make this observation as, a few minutes before the intermission, a patron beside me asked me whether it’s a movie or a TV serial.
The film’s technical side is second grade be it locations, or cinematography, or music by Sai Karthik, or editing. Darling Swamy strength is dialogues and these are his best in Roamnce, “Round up chesi roses evvakundi ra confusion lo andariki okay chepestha”, “Romance cheyadaniki ammayi, Pranam theyadaniki gun unte prapancham gelicheyochu”.
