Rating:3.5/5

Movie : Prema Katha Chitram
Star Cast : Sudheer Babu, Nanditha, Hansika Motwani…
Director : J. Prabhakar Reddy
Producer : Maruthi Sudarshan Reddy
Genre : Romance – Drama
Music : J.B
Sudheer Babu, brother in law of Superstar Mahesh Babu, is trying his luck with ‘Prema Katha Chitram’. This is his second film and it has released across the world today. The movie’s script has been penned by Maruthi and he has also ‘supervised’ the direction of the film. Nandhita is the heroine of the movie. Let us see how this movie is
Story :
Sudheer (Sudheer Babu), Praveen (Praveen) and Nandhu (Nandhita) are three dejected and depressed youngsters. They are fed up with their lives and decide to commit suicide. The three of them travel to a remote farmhouse to spend the last moments of their life. On the way, they are joined by Giri (Giri).
As they settle down into the farmhouse and prepare themselves for their last moments. As you can expect, love blossoms between Sudher and Nandhu. But when they try to get close to each other, strange things start happening.
Sudheer and his friends realise that the farmhouse contains a dark secret. The place has a violent past. While investigating these incidents, Sudheer also realises that some of his friends have other motives.
What is the dark secret of that farmhouse? What happens to Sudheer and friends in the end? That is the story of ‘Prema Katha Chitram’.
Plus Points :
Sudheer Babu has done a very good job in this movie. He has succeeded in showcasing the emotions of fear and surprise effectively. There is a short dance sequence in the film, which gives us an idea about his dancing abilities.
Nandhita is the real star of the film. She is simply brilliant. There are certain sequences where she is required to exhibit dramatic changes in behaviour and she has excelled in those scenes. She also looks quite cute and vulnerable where required.
Pravin succeeds in making viewers laugh with his Godavari slang. Giri is simply brilliant in two sequences, where he interacts with the ‘supernatural force’. The ‘Draupadi Vastrapaharanam’ sequence has been shot hilariously.
The entertainment quotient in the film is very high. There is an intelligent mix of humour, horror and romance in the film and viewers will connect to all three emotions well. The film’s biggest USP is the hilarious and racy second half.
There are a few trademark double meaning dialogues from Maruthi, but they are limited and don’t give a vulagar feel. Re-recording is a big asset for the movie. Sound and camera angles have been used effectively.
Minus Points :
The movie starts off slowly and stumbles for the first 20 – 30 minutes. There are some needless sequences, like the MLA slapping scene etc. These scenes are quite irritating and should have been chopped off.
The climax fight could have been avoided as it really does not add much to the storyline. One gets the feeling that it was placed there on purpose, to prove that Sudheer can fight. Some cinematic liberties have also been taken.

Technical Aspects :
Cinematography of the film is good. For a horror/thriller film to work, sound and camera angles are crucial. Both departments have been handled well in PKC. Editing is neat. JB’s background score is good. Sound mixing is very effective.
Prabhakar Reddy might have been the director, but Maruthi’s stamp is very obvious. This movie will succeed in giving an image makeover to Maruthi.
Verdict :

Humour, Horror and Romance are base human emotions. When they are handled effectively, viewers will connect strongly to a story. The same is the case with ‘Prema Katha Chitram’. The entertaining and thrilling second half will make you happy. Don’t miss this flick

Direction:     Maruthi

Distribution:     Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Productions Pvt Ltd
Release Date:     10th November 2012(Evening Shows)
RATING :3/5
Bus Stop Takes the Advantage:
Producer Bellamkonda Suresh is set to cash on the golden opportunity of Diwali festival by releasing his medium budget movie Bus Stop on 11th November and meanwhile, the film will be screened in the multiplexes from today itself on 10th November for the evening shows.
Since many theaters have been allocated for Damarukam and the film being postponed has made the makers go for a big release. Maruthi directed Bus Stop has Prince and Sri Vidya in the lead roles. The film has been made under the banner of Sri Sai Ganesh Productions banner with musical scores by JB and cinematography by Prabhakar ReddyWith no big releases other than dubbed film Tupaki, Bus Stop is expected to do well at the Box-Office.
Censor Details:
Director Dasari Maruthi’s youthful family entertainer ‘Bus Stop’ has cleared the censor formalities yesterday and has obtained ‘A’ certificate by the authorities. Reportedly, no visual cuts has been made and only 4 dialogue cuts are being suggested by the reviewing committee members to the makers of the movie. Earlier, ‘Bus Stop’ movie has faced few issues from the censor board chief Dhana Lakshmi, and hence, they have approached Reviewing Committee(RC) for the censor scrutiny. ‘Bus Stop’ has Prince, Khanna, Sri Divya, Rakshitha playing the lead roles. A press meet on the release date of ‘Bus Stop’ is expected to be held today afternoon and our trusted sources hint that the makers are planning to release the movie on November 10
Story:
Bus Stop falls in the class of  youth attracting movies like Oka romantic crime story, Eerojullo and others. Bus Stop movie depicts the confusion in parent-child relationship and how love spoils today’s youth. Bus Stop movie mainly focuses on the negative side of love, how it makes the youth cheat on their parents and themselves.
Performance:
Director had used the same lead pair of Neeku Naku Dash Dash, Prince and Divya in the movie. They had shown good improvement from their previous movie. They seem to know each other well and the chemistry between them worked big time. Rao Ramesh was at his usual best. Rakshitha, Sai Kumar, Kanna, FM Babai and others managed decent performance too.
Technical Performance:
The director suffers from creative scarcity and in the name of youthfull movies, he makes a movies with vulgarity and double meaning dialogues. Whatever he delivered, he had made justice to his part technically in terms of executing and narrating the story. The move taken my censor team to refer Bus Stop movie to reviewing committee members is clearly justified.
Cinematography by J.Prabhakar Reddy is very nice.
Rerecording by JB elevates the movie and the music is good.
Art work is OK.
Editing by SB Uddhav is good.
Final Say:
Like his previous movie, Ee Rojullo, director Maruthi uses the crudest form of double meanings and dirty jokes to make his movie connect with masses and youth who may identify themselves. Director relied on the double meanings and vulgarity every where in the movie and amidst every character even if it is between father and son. The Censor board had shown a matured approach by scissoring the movie and rating it A. The movie will be enjoyed by people who enjoys ‘this kind’ of movies. Families and ladies will have to cover their faces in shame while watching it.
Position at Box Office:
The postponement of Damarukam came in a disguise for this movie. And now with no movie round the corner. The movie will pay well commercially if the targeted audience connect to it.
